We're a relatively new brewery, which opened in May of 2020 in Central NJ. Old Hights is committed to brewing high quality beer along with supporting our community and groups in need. In less than a year, we have participated in All Together, Black Is Beautiful, donated to our local volunteer fire department and, most recently, The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in Philadelphia.
Why does a brewery in Central NJ care about Philadelphia's Magic Gardens (PMG)? The effort all began with a conversation with PMG's executive director, and native of Hightstown, Emily Smith. She expressed her concern for the future of PMG, along with the future of public art, as they continue to be faced with insurmountable odds during these uncertain times. It all came to a head when Philadelphia museums were ordered to close on November 20, 2020. With no other option, PMG has temporarily closed with plans to reopen in the spring. The only way to ensure a reopening is to continue to support PMG during this difficult time.
It was with that conversation, and after getting 100% support from PMG, that our brewers wrote up the recipe for
